Jose has been involved in law enforcement and the security industry for twenty-eight years. He was a police supervisor (sergeant for 10 years and a lieutenant for 3 years) honorably retiring at the rank of lieutenant. He has taken several courses in supervision, law enforcement management, and is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute (SLI). He has worked various assignments as an off-duty security officer including personal and property protection at various locations, surveillance, and assisting with loss prevention (asset protection) at retail chain stores and other venues.
J.R. provided instruction of the School Security Campus Aide 24-hour state mandated course (SB1626) for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as well as for the School Police Department. He instructed the BSIS security guard training course through the LAUSD Adult School Branch program for over five years. J.R. has also taught numerous other law enforcement related classes like Driver Education, juvenile traffic school, and Character Counts!, Additionally, he is an Amercan Heart Association First Aid and CPR/AED instructor.
J.R. possesses a bachelor's degree in Occupational Studies and also earned a Masters degree in Emergency Services Administration from Cal State University Long Beach. He is a Homeland Security Agency instructor for the Incident Command System (ICS). He is also a POST Certified Academy Instructor, a BSIS instructor, an NRA, DOJ, and BSIS firearms instructor, and an Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) baton and BSIS baton instructor. He additionally holds a clear State of California teaching credential in law enforcement occupations.
Roberto Lopez, our company’s Vice-president and COO, has over 15 years in law enforcement and the security industry experience working in various assignments, including managing industrial access control and liaison with emergency responders as well as overseeing security at a night club. He provided instruction for over six years in a Cadet program for the LAPD Communications Division and is an LAPD POST certified instructor. Roberto is also CPR/AED certified through the Los Angeles Fire Department. Roberto is currently an LAPD Communications Division supervisor.
Eduardo Lopez, our company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) spent seven years in the U.S. Army promoting to the rank of sergeant with a honorable discharge. He served three tours of duty overseas, twoof those in Afghanistan. He possesses numerous certificates in computer and internet security and enjoys a high level of security clearance. Eduardo completed an AA degree and continues to work towards his bachelor's degree. He concurrently works in the administrative offices of the Azusa Unified School District in the technology department as an analyst.
